AI Rotation Problems
I am playing in the late 1970s. On several teams, the AI has relievers starting and starters relieving. No Rhyme or Reason.
For instance, one team has Charlie Leibrandt,, a 45/62 as a MR (even tho his stamina is 65 and I changed him to a SP AND put him in the rotation) and continues to put Dock Ellis in my starting rotation, even tho I have changed him to a MR, lowered his stamina to 12 AND removed him from the rotation. This is happening to about 1 out of 4 teams. I don't know what else to try? What am I missing? It is not age related (Ellis is 34 and Charlie L is 23....on another team, Randy Jones, 29, who has started his whole career is now a reliever has been replaced by Bob Shirley, 24, who did nothing but relieve last year??!!). Anyone else seeing this? Thx. |

I am seeing this issue where SP will relive and a MR will pitch, maybe it has something to do with stamina.

It always seemed to do the trick in OOTP 16. Yet the AI continues to start Dock. He is averaging about 4.5 IP/start (gee....I wonder why? ) There must be something else going on or else Seb programmed in some AI 'stubbornness' |

Phillips...in this case, around 24.
In others, it varied from 8 to 50. It didn't matter....if the game wanted him to start, he started. |

What settings are you using for rotation and where do you have him on the pitching depth chart?

I manage one team. All the rest are AI controlled. When I change any of the AI Controlled rotations and put in viable starters as noted above, it still wants to insert relievers Into the rotation.

Now I understand. When you change an AI operated team the AI will override your changes. However when you change the Stamina that should make a difference. |
