teams games total
sl1 division 5 16 80 con 6 9 54 il 7 4 28 162 SL2 div 6 16 96 con 7 6 42 IL 6 4 24 162 This is the new plan. I can make all the teams play 4 IL games vs a specific team. That will make SL1 play 7 teams 4 times each (2h/2a) Do division 1 plays division 3 Division 2 plays division 4. This would leave for SL1: 5 teams playing 16 times 8h/8a 6 conference teams playing 9 times each (3/6 or 6/3) then 7 IL series of 4 games each (2h/2a) For SL2: 6 division teams played 16 times each (8h/8a) 96 games 7 conference games 6 times each (3h3a) 42 games and then the 6 IL series vs 6 teams from the other side x 4 games = 24 That's the best I can come up with right now. It looks like it will be balanced H/A and all that jazz. |

A differing number of interleague games between the two divisions in a league does not work, since subleague 2 requires interdivision games at all times.
I have the following: SL1 5x 18 against division rivals 3x 8 (4/4) and 3x 9 (6/3 or 3/6) against interdivision teams 7x 3 (3/0 or 0/3) interleague SL2 6x 17 (9/8 or 8/9) against division rivals 7x 6 against interdivision teams 6x 3 interleague Spread out over 26 1/2 weeks (including the All Star Game), since an even number of SL2 interdivision series requires me to have an even number of half weeks when ignoring the All Star Game. I can't wrap around how to distribute interdivision games for SL2 right now. SL1 is done in Excel, but not yet put into an actual schedule file.

sl1 is pretty straight forward.
The main issue is the extra team in each sl2 division. Anytime you have all division games going on, you have an extra team from each division. Same with interleague. Now the interleague I can set up pretty easily: You would have 1-6 S1d1 play 13-19 sl2d1 and 7-12 play 20-26. so you have 1-13 2 14 3 15 4 16 5 17 6 18 19 Same thing with the other divisions, you will have 26 alone. so when those 6 series are going on, 19-26. Just shift the right row up 1 and put hte top team on the bottom so 1 14 2 15 etc that leaves 13-20 in that series. You can do that 7 times: the sl1 teams play 7 IL 0 conference sl2 teams play 6IL 1 conf series. Now you have the sl1 teams playing all division and conf games, no prob. Sl2, it's tricky. You now have 7 and 7 in the divisions, so anytime you have all conference games, no prob. The issue is this, when you have 1v2 3v4 5v6 7 has to play a conference game vs someoneon the other side. I think RW did a small scale schedule like this. You are going to have to have a mix of 5 division games and 2 conference games each half week (for sl2, not talking about IL weeks) Tomorrow I can post an excel with the IL matches ups, don't have it at home. If you already have SL1 done, I think we can figure out how to get SL2 scheduled out. |

First thing I'll need to know. Which teams in SL1 are playing more home games in the conference series?
It looks like half the teams will play more home games than road games when setting up conferences games. The division games, everyone plays everyone home and away 9 times. The conference games, half the teams you play are 4/4, so H/A is balanced. But for the other three teams, you play 6/3 or 3/6 So I'm seeing this as team 1 plays teams 7-12 in conference play. Team 1 plays 7, 8, and 9 (8 times each 4h/4a) team 10 (6h 3a) team 11 (3h 6a) team 12 (6h 3a) so team 1 will have 72H games and 69R games inside their conference team 2 will have 69H games and 72R games inside their conference. Let me know, of the 12 teams, who has 72H games and 69H games. I can use this to set up the IL play. Because SL1 has 7 series vs SL3, 21 games, either 12H/9R or 9H/12R If we combine the two, SL1 teams will have the same H/A set up. I need to work on SL2 to get that part done. |

Last thing for now, I have H/A matchups set up for SL2. the 9h/8a for 3 teams and 8h/9a for 3 teams.
Once you let me know what teams in SL1 have more home games I can set up the IL match ups and see what series we have left. This won't be easy but I think it's plausible. |

That's what I have at this point. I actually started with interleague.
There has to be interdivision play in the CL at all times for obvious reasons. I can't wrap my head around how to go about interdivision after all, but I think it would be better to NOT have the remaining interdivision matchups all piled into a few select half weeks.

We cant have all the conference games for SL2 together because we need 1 CONF matchup for each series set.
I will clean up my work a little and attach an excel spread sheet that shows all the matchups, either 333/44 or 44/333 or 333/422 or 333/2222 However you want to break the series up. We also need one of the SL2 conference series each time you have interleague. The key is count how many conference series there are for sl2, then take x for the interleague series. What I think we will have to do is determine how many division series are left, and how many conference series are left. We are probably going to have 1 or 3 conference series each set of series. Just have to do the math to figure it out. after that, start with IL, because you have a set amount of teams that have to play and will have a SL2D1 v SL2D2 everytime. |

Um. You can see my spreadsheet, right? Interleague is already in there. It's the grey matchups.
