Missing hall of fame
should I be worried? This is a 1985 league using the default databases.
when i look at the hall of fame, it shows 0 position players inducted, 0 pitchers inducted, and sortable HOF is empty with nothing to sort. the all-time records include only active players. i imported all history when i created the league. i was thinking maybe they didn't show up until after the first season is simmed, but that will take me a while. i supposed I could live without a hof and all-time records, but obviously would rather not. maybe if it did screw up, there's still a way to get them into the game somehow. thx k |

You have to use the option to 'import complete history' when creating your game. This will import all stats and history from MLB history prior to 1985. But OOTP will take a LOT longer to create your game, and the save file will be larger in size.
If you don't use this option, then OOTP assumes that you're creating a historical league but want it to have its own unique history of records, Hall of Famers, etc. |

Thanks for confirming. I intended to import complete history, but I must have unchecked it by mistake during setup. You have to be perfect during historical setups and I cracked under pressure.
Oh well, I'm playing 1985 onwards, I think I'll just pretend the last 100 years of baseball never happened. |
