Google Earth and OOTP Manual problems
For me just now and some days are the Manual (manuals.ootpdevelopments.com) site is down.
The site can't be reached so my question on Google Earth will have to be made here. Clicking on "show ballpark in GE" crashes and says GE is not installed. As far as I know the Google Earth nowadays is not for DL and installed on your PC (as it was in the past). It's now just Launches in Chrome or any other webreader. So how to get these new pictures of ballparks to view qhile playing ? |

It looks like the manuals site was down before, but it should be back up right now.
As for Google Earth, I believe we are simply using an old API for that that hasn't been updated in a while. But it's only for viewing data outside of the game, not for editing in-game data. If you want to update in-game ballpark images, you can do that through the edit ballpark page that's linked from the team settings tab on each team home page. |

After looking around I discovered that the Google Earth Pro now was free to DL. It used to cost 200 $ or more a couple of years ago.
Downloading that and installing it as in the old days your links worked fine. It launched Google Earth I installed and found it's way to the stadium. Very pretty. Only hickup was that the message still reported an error of not installed Google Earth, kind of got stuck on that now it was Google Eart Pro. Never mind it now works as intended and as before. |
