Suggestions
I can't say I read the previous suggestions, so I apologize for any duplications. I really want to like the game, and it's certainly come a long way from early iterations, but it's still a long way behind Football Manager (which I enjoy as a game, but less so because it's soccer). In no particular order:
1. Better interaction in trade discussions, similar to the OOTP Baseball option of "Make this trade work now 2. allow option for assistant to set individual player roles. I'd like to set the lines but not necessarily the individual player's role 3. more leeway in contract negotiations. Feels like the player doesn't change from the opening demand much. Work in more factors in a player signing/not signing, i.e. ice time, success of the team, hometown discount, etc. 4. Momentum needs to factor in recent events So maybe I'm getting outshot on the game, but I've taken the last 5 shots so momentum is starting to shift). Also factor in other events (i.e. a goal, fights, hits) 5. Player dialogue/promises: this is a Football Manager feature that I rather enjoy. Instead of the player just getting mad, allow for discussion to resolve issues...promise more icetime moving forward, new contract, etc. 6. Match engine: I won't say much about this, but the current match engine is really goofy. I can get past this, because the enjoyment of the game isn't so much that matches but rather the building of the team. But it's obviously really really weird and doesn't bear much resemblance to actual hockey other than names on the ice and the events 7.Hot/Cold streaks for players...maybe this is there, I'm only a half season in, but players should have hot/cold streaks like the goalies. I haven't seen one of these yet, if they do exist. Hockey players are notoriously streaky. 8. More trade rumours/discussions in the inbox |
