Historical Draft Question
Starting a historical game for the first time. I've picked 1939 (just to see how Ted Williams pans out really).
I'd like the amateur draft and free agency to kick in as they did in real life. Do I have to do this manually or will it happen automatically? Can I tick the Am Draft button but set the date to 1965 or will this throw up some issues? |

You would need to wait until 1965 to tick.
OOTP will use an amateur draft the instant you tick it on.

Thanks for that. Is it the same with free agency? Will I need to manually change the rules in (correct me if I'm wrong) 1976 to allow free agents?

Free agency turns itself on automagically.

Thanks again, for the swift answer and also the word automagically which I intend to use whenever the opportunity presents itself.
