Historical Random Debut Problem

My historical random debut league is only showing fictional players in the amateur draft pool.

Ideas on what box I do/don't have checked incorrectly?

Unless something changed with OOTP18, reaching 2018 does not effect random debut as long as there are still available players. I've fast simmed way beyond present day in the past.

I'm not sure I remember. I think the answer is probably yes, though I may have clicked on the advanced options at some point.

And No, I had not reached 2017 - this occurred in the first offseason/draft.

I did just notice that "use real historical rookies" is not checked - Is that the problem/does this need to be checked along with the Random Debut box?

So, I ran another year with that box checked, & the entire draft pool is still fictional.

Looking for any ideas on what setting I have wrong here. I love this game; but, really get frustrated sometimes.

Is it a MLB league or a fictional league? There have always been issues with trying to get a RD league using a fictional league.
Check the database path. League settings - Historical . If it not set aim it to your OOTP 18 stats folder then select either master.cvs or historical.odb

I need someone to dumb this down for me - how/where do I check this in the game, or do I have to go to the game folders?

I forgot 1one part on this you need to copy tou ootp stats line folder into this spot with the arrow using ctrl-c to copy and ctrl-v to paste.

So were the teams in your league made up of random mlb players to start or the actual the actual 1960 mlb players? Or were players fictional to begin with. Earlier you asked if the box for box for automatically import real historical rookies needs to be checked. The answer to that is yes.

The inaugural draft was fine. Random MLB players from between 1901and 2014. No fictional players included. I didn't notice the problem until the first season ended, and the amateur draft pool was revealed (I have the date modified to be in November).

I did notice that although I had the random debut box checked, the use real historical rookies was not. However, when I did check that, and ran the 2nd year, I still only had fictional rookies in the 2nd amateur draft. I think at this point, I have to assume not checking that box has somehow corrupted this league, and try again.

Thanks to both of you for the help/suggestions. I'm getting there.

Yep that was the issue..
