Memorial Cup Crash

I'm running version 5.5.55 and playing as the Oil Kings GM and coach in the WHL. I made it to the Memorial Cup, and something strange happened. My lineup got cleared. Which was fine.

But now whenever I try to sim the first game, the game crashes. If I skip passed it, the game will sim, but it'll start bugging out, for example in the game recap screen the opposing teams roster (stats, team ratings, etc) is completely empty and my own is missing half the team. I'm uploading the game file as I type this so it should be up soon (MemorialCupCrash.lg.zip).

This is odd, the games will play with no problem if you click on them individually in the league schedule screen, then start the game as if you want to view the whole thing. At that point, you can use Sim End (or just watch the whole thing) and it'll complete without crashing. But if you hit simulate before that point, or let it simulate (via using the continue button), it'll crash.

Not sure what's causing this, I've never seen it before. We'll have to examine the save in a little more detail. But for now, if you just start each game individually as if you were going to watch the whole thing, you can finish the tournament that way. And it seems to be limited to the Memorial Cup, I let it sim forward a bit and no other leagues or tournaments crashed.

Didn't even think about trying that out, so thanks for letting me know play game works. Is it normal for lineups to be cleared after the WHL/OHL/QMJHL playoffs?

No, I suspect that may be part of the problem - something's happened to the lineups, but I'm not sure what.

Some more info.. No matter what I do, the game ends 3-2 win with the same goal scorers even if the score after simming/playing is different. And Alistrov isn't on my roster yet got an assist.

Edit: nvm, just that screen is a problem.

Edit 2: turns out none of my games registered.

We think we've got the bug fixed, testing it now and will try to get an updated version out quickly (for this and a few other things.) Might be best to hold on to the version of the save from the start of the tournament and then try that after the update.
