Historical League
I want to do a historical league using all 30 teams ,but what I want to do is use the best player at each position for each team. Is this possible? and if so HOW?

It's possible but it would be quite a bit of setup work.
-Start a league with the 30 teams (fictional or historical doesn't matter). -Release all the players on the teams and delete them all -Make your list of the best players at each position for each team. -Manually import these players as free agents in their historical rookie season and then assign them with the editor to the correct team. |

One thing you might try before putting yourself through all that work is to give the All Time Greats quickstart a try. It's one of the quickstarts that comes with the game.

I'm trying to accomplish the same thing. I even spent several weeks converting stats from various seasons to make them equivalent. I also broke down the player seasons in to ten-year groups, so that "1990" includes Babe Ruth's 1920 season, Hank Aaron's 1970 season, Bobby Abreu's 2000 season and so on. I duplicated the format of the csv files that OOTP 16 uses, but can't get the game to import my data. I'd be glad to forward the spreadsheets (they're huge, of course) to anyone who thinks they might have better luck.
