I'm wondering how many of you want team color text boxes back in the game. I'm disappointed in the decision to leave it out as it was something I enjoyed while playing out games. It really helped with the immersion aspect of the game. So let's here it, Do you want it or not or just don't care.

Yes, I am not sure myself of what we are speaking of here, not meaning to trivialize the thread or poll. I don't want to reinstall 14 to look and compare. Anybody still have 14 who can post a pic?

Got my vote...yes. The black behind the text is the image overlay on top of the background image and changes depending on team color in 14. Text color changes with the team text color.

Wait - ... are actually all teams just colored this bland black-and-white in the menus and in-game? I haven't bought this one yet, but wow, that's a killer!

Reviled that smartphone look of 15 from all the screenshots already, but it seems to be getting ever worse.

Well, I skipped 13, played 14 very scarcely, and will survive skipping 15, I guess.

Perhaps he has failed to install patches. They were originally uncolored.

Did the Beta patch change things back to the way they were in 14? I haven't downloaded that patch yet and my team info boxes are still the 15 way.

Not sure which patch did it, but I have the Beta patch installed and the player boxes are colored.

Mine never stopped being colored. What happened with 15 is you can't have the info box for say the Cardinals be red with yellow lettering, the Giants be black with orange lettering. It's dark shades with white lettering or light shades with black letter or bust with 15.

I don't know what boxes you are referring to, I thought the OP was talking about the players on the field during a game. They were not originally colored in 15. Help me out.

I should have read further. In any event, I like the way team pages were colored before. Hopefully that gets fixed in a patch too.

Player boxes and boxes on team menus are colored in my game too.

I think what the original poster is getting at is that the text in the colored boxes is now only black or white depending on the color of the box. In previous versions the Cubs would have red text in a blue box, the Mets orange text on in a blue box, Orioles orange text in a black box etc.

I read in another post, can't find right now, that the team specific text color was removed from the colored boxes to eliminate some boxes that were hard to read. Markus wanted to make all boxes "readable" by default and going with only white on dark or black on light colored boxes accomplishes that. Having the default boxes easily readable is reasonable. The trouble is Markus locked text in as either white or black and took away the option for the user to change it. So now my Cubs will always have white text on a blue box as I no longer have the option to make the text red. When I play the Dodgers, also white text on blue box, it takes a bit away from the "old" immersive flavor the game had with more team specific colors in the boxes. Not to mention it is hell of a lot of white and blue on the screen at one time and if I have the bases loaded it just doesn't look as good as it did before.

I think what the original poster is asking for is the return of the option to change the text color, as we had in previous versions, to match team colors we select. Its not a game breaker to me but I do support his request that we should be able to mod it as we see fit.

Well, I liked the colored team headers in OOTP 14, too, but if that's the reason not to buy the game, then you and I have very different lists of priorities for what makes a baseball sim better than the old version.

P.S. I NEVER thought I'd see the day when the LOOKS of a text sim would be the deciding factor on whether to purchase or not......

I'm upset about how about how every team now has on-field player colors of white text on the team color, whereas it always used to be team text color on team color. It makes for confusing games - the Red Sox and Yankees are now very hard to tell apart when you play a game out, for example.
