At what level does a player develop best?
Pavel Zacha for instance is rated 1.5/3.5. My priority for him is for him to reach his potential? Would he develop best in the AHL or NHL?

I'd start him in the AHL where he can get solid playing time and develop his skills and conditioning. That way when he comes up to the NHL, he's better equipped. Unless your NHL team really needs the player.

1.5 is probably just (barely) enough for him not to be overwhelmed by the level of competition and have his development suffer. But unless your lineup is thin enough that he's getting a decent amount of icetime, his development may be slowed because he's not playing enough. If he's just going to be getting fourth-line time and nothing else on your main roster, he may be better off in the AHL.
If you don't mind a spoiler about his development, highlight the invisible line below this one: Leave him on the NHL team. He's very close to hitting two stars, he should get that pretty quickly and be good enough for your top 3 lines Last edited by JeffR; 12-17-2017 at 03:54 AM. |
