League File FTP problems for online league

Is there any documentation for what FTP client OotP uses? I'm trying to connect to an FTP server, I can do so manually from multiple computers, but when I try OotP, I get errors. I've tried debug mode but the debugging leaves a lot to be desired.

I've tried all 6 file transfer types, and nothing seems to work.
FileZilla; works fine.
Win SCP; works fine.
Command line FTP: works fine

I suppose the next step is to try WireShark

Turned out to the be FTP server I was using (vsftpd on RaspPi). I switched to proftpd and it's working great now.

Oddly enough, FileZilla worked for both servers, OotP only worked for proftpd
