Need name help for global league

Okay, so I created a league with teams in the 32 most populous cities (at least in 2014) in the world.

Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles made the list so I the idea is the Cubs, Yankees and Dodgers abandoned MLB to go for the big money on the world stage. So those names are set. For the other cities, I tried to name them after the best known teams from those cities whether they be cricket, football, or any other sports teams because the logos would be easy to find.

Below is what I came up with a few years ago. As I revive the sim in the current version, I thought there might be better team names out there.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Asia Middle East
Cairo Zamalek
Karachi Dolphins
Tehran Persepolis
Istanbul Galatasaray

Asia Chapan
Osaka Tigers
Tokyo Yakult Swallows
Beijing Red Tigers
Shanghai Sharks

Asia India/Bangladesh
Dhaka Metropolis
Mumbai Indians
Delhi Daredevils
Kolkata Knight Riders

Asia Leftovers
Seoul Doosan Bears
Hong Kong National Baseball Team
Bangkok United
Moscow CSKA Knights

North America
Chicago Cubs
New York Yankees
Los Angeles Dodgers
Mexico City Aztecs

South America
Buenos Aires Boca Juniors
Liima Sporting Cristal
Sao Paolo Corinthians
Rio De Janiero Vasco de gama

South America Oceania
Bogota Millonarios
Manila Metrostars
Santiago Colo Colo
Jakarta Persija

Africa/Europe
Kinshasa Amicale Dragons
Lagos Bridge Boys
London Arsenal
Paris Saint Germain

Asia is one conference with rest of world the other. Each division winner hosts first round series. 4 best remaining teams get wild cards. Each series is 7 games long with the Final True World Series being 9 games. First world series, the Karachi Dolphins beat the Cubs 5-3.

Lima Sporting Cristal had both the MVP and Best Pitcher award winners but lost in the first round. But I love that my first MVP was named Waluyo Djojopoespito (Thai) and my first Pitcher of the Year was named Anant "Gobbler" Prayag (Indian)

Anyway, if you have any better names for these teams, preferably based on actual sports teams from that area, let me know.

If you name the London team Arsenal, you're gonna offend everyone else. Better to go with something generic. The London Monarchs were an NFL Europe team so should be easy to find logos. Also look at the UK ice hockey league for ideas.

That's a good one, there's actually a logo out there that says London Monarchs baseball team. May have to use that one unless another suggestion trumps it.

And another related question. Do Japanese league uniforms exist somewhere as a mod?

For some reason, I have two teams named for tigers, Beijing red tigers and osaka tigers, in the same division no less. I don't necessarily mind that but if anyone has a better option, let me know

Similar to London, naming the Buenos Aires team after Boca Juniors would piss off the other people in Buenos Aires, especially fans of River Plate. The Argentine national soccer team is known as the Albicelestes, maybe that could work for Buenos Aires.

Several OOTP versions ago when I was setting up my own Global League with a Manila team I asked my wife to recommend a "real" Filipino name. She suggested "Bahay Kubo," so that's what I named the team.

A bahay kubo is the little hut you see throughout the countryside. You can Google it if you want a more detailed description.

Gauchos just seems like it would be a baseball team name.

I humbly suggest the London Werewolves (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDpYBT0XyvA).

As an added bonus, you could sell Chinese food at the concessions stand.

I still have trouble wrapping my head around the idea that there is a cricket team in India named after a David Hasselhoff 80's TV series.

This is a very weird planet we live on.

All Hasselhoff fans should go on Netflix and watch Kung Fury, because any movie with KITT, Hasselhoff, Hitler, Thor and dinosaurs in it is automatically awesome.
