I found some more of my old pics and I sent them to cubedrum -I thought it would be faster than trying to post them all. Here is a list with their boxrec numbers. Not all the fighters are in the TBCB game but If I can find my TF2001 disks maybe I can post the fighter files as well.

Looking for Young Firpo
I'm looking for a pic of Young Firpo (real name Guido Bardelli) who fought as a light-heavyweight in the 1930s. If anyone has one to share, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks, Mark |

I'm almost half-way thru with my "Heavyweight Legends" MOD. I've finished with 1880 thru 1900. So far, I've completed about 75 Boxers from that era. Plus, all the announcers, refs, trainers. cut-men. etc are from that time period too.
But, I need photos for these guys. Many are Australian fighters and I've tried to buy the book the "History of Australian Boxing" by Grantlee Kieza just for that reason. The book is fairly rare and somewhat expensive. Anyway, I was hoping that some of these guys I'm missing photos for would be in that book. The ones I need are >> Tom Lees Jack Malloy James "Tut" Ryan Billy Wilson Bill Woods Jim Daly Jim McCormick Mick Dooley Jack Fallon Jim Jeffords Thanks! Bill |

The aussie fighters and the 1-4 rated guys in general are all a big part of the history of boxing. YOur Dempsey's, Louis', Ali's, Tyson's, Holyfield's, etc. did not build careers on just fighting the 7,8,9, 10 and up fighters. Many of the guys on these boards run universes simulating whole careers of many fighters and adding these 1-4 guys adds to the realism(at least in mine and others opinion) of what their trying to do with their unverse replays. With some people, I'm sure yes they'd just prefer to fight the top fighters in tournaments and such and that's ok if that's what you want to do with TBCB. That's part of what's so great about TBCB(again my opinion at least). You can do little things like just fight individual fights or do BIG thingns like Mark42661's When they were Kings or vistaman44's 40's and 50's replay project just to name a couple of the prominent universe replays mentioned here.
For me, part of the real fun thing I've found with TBCB is researching all these 1-4 fighters, learning about them and making up ratings for them for all these other gentlemen to use in thier universes. As far as the pics for these 1-4 guys? Why not?! Only adds to the game. Rocco Del Sesto |

Jofre,
Thank you so much for the pic of Young Firpo. I'll restrain myself from getting greedy and listing about 100 more fighters that are missing pictures in my little universe. |

Eric, there is nothing wrong with Australian boxers. Australia (like most countries) actually has a very rich boxing history. Also, like Rocco said, the top echelon boxers would be nowhere without the lower rated fighters.
Beachboy, I have that book, and none of the boxers you mentioned have a photo in that book. I will scan and post a photo of both Tut Ryan and Mick Dooley when I get a chance. I have added aphoto of the infamous Australian Bushranger, Ned Kelly during his boxing career. Shane.

Also, I agree for such a small population Australia was definitely a hot-bed for boxing at the turn of the century! Bill |
