Thanks for the update, but what does this mean?

Updated Rosters for 2017 (new game needed) This was on my App Store update dialog.

Do I just need to start a new game? Is there an "acid" test to determine if the rosters HAVE been updated?

Thanks that the 3 lines are back.

Changes to the DB only get into effect with a new started game (thats the same as with the PC/Mac version).

Thanks, but can you give me at least one example of a roster change, so that I can check to make sure that the updated rosters show up?

For instance, I just started a new game. For my Buccos, Hutchison, Schugel, Kang, Meadows and Barrett Barnes (Barnes?) are up with the "big club". So, if the rosters were updated, the Bucs didn't "get the memo".

I don´t make the rosters, I get them from Markus to put them in. If you start a new game, the updated roster will be used. Maybe Lukas can jump in, I think he is in charge of the rosters.

They've been updated, there have been a great deal of changes since the initial MLBM rosters came out. That being said, they're never going to perfectly match those in real life.

We can only get the assignments so close since the ai takes over when making roster assignments, and it will do things like picking different amounts of players at specific positions from those the real life teams choose.

We also optimize the rosters for OOTP, not MLBM, and so given that OOTP has more teams and players and (I think) a slightly different ai, the MLBM rosters are always going to look a bit different than the OOTP rosters. In some cases they might look a little better, but in other cases they might look a bit worse.
