While the pitching is among the leagues best, the offense is dismal. The 'Topes 3 best exspected hitters in Brown, Burdick & Disanti all are struggling. If they make a trade for a hitter or 2 or if some of them start hitting better the Isotopes could make a run at the Wildcard.

14-13 in May.
While on the positive side we have a winning record it seems at times we take 1 step forward, 2 steps back. There's a lot I like about this squad but many players are having less then stellar campaigns. Billy Matthews, Juan San Antonio, Lonnie Devon, Billy Heywood & Keith Bostic are all struggling or having off seasons in 1 way or another. We have about 2 , months before i pull the plug on this and start to trade players away so we have plenty of time to right the ship.

Junes schedule is our toughest so far. Delgado, Alderaan, Pontiac, Atlantis & Cloud City are all .500 or better teams.


Juan, Niec & Cain all had a good month. The rest all were ok or bad. Most of my pitchers did well but Noland was lights out.

Willowbrook placed SS Keith Bostic on the 15 Day DL and recall IF Pieroantonio Carpaccio from AAA.

We are 2-1 vs Delgado this season.


Nothing bad i can say about this team. The road for the AL East goes thru them and they look to be in great shape to win the AL pennant. They are a bit banged up right now, which can benefit us.


Cf John Studs will take over vs RHP vs Raphael Coffey. With Bostic down PAC will start vs LHP for now at SS but Wilson & Duncan will also see more AB's as PAC is not hitting very well but he is a Gold Glove caliber dfender and has ++ speed.
