The Braves, they're my team, and I'm not super happy about they way they've been handled recently. Time for me to take over and hang a WS Pennant by the end of 2020.

Either the 1901 New York Giants or the 1901 Pittsburgh Pirates.

AA left Toronto for LA, and the Blue Jays made a mistake with Shapiro and Atkins.
The time is coming for me to take over my rightful job as the GM of the Blue Jays and end the World Series drought. (And no, I wouldn't have resigned Price either) |

Die hard Phillies fan, and being a really old guy, I'll probably take over the team in the 60's. Perhaps 1960 when they lost 95 games, and then followed up that stellar year in 61 by losing 107. Hey, a franchise that's been around since 1883 and has just two championships. Could I do any worse?

1980 Cardinals with full minors and will see if I can defeat those pesky Royals and win more championships between then and now. Should be fun

Major League Baseball is my team. I'm the commissioner I guess I "root" for the Mariners since they're my hometown team, but I like being the commissioner and making my "rules" and watching how teams go by them. Always happy when the Rangers don't win the World Series too.

Detroit Tigers my beloved hometown. People might say why don't I manage the Florida (Miami) Marlins since I live down here now. My answer is Detroit still means plenty to me. Plus when I grew up Detroit was a HUGE Baseball town.

Incidentally, I lived in Detroit for a time. But Seattle has always been home, where I was born. I've lived in Phoenix, and now I live in Portland, but Seattle is number one. I don't really watch real baseball, but I'd be a M's fan.

Thinking about sticking a team in Jersey, not sure what year.
Also thinking about setting up a league that forms over disappointment from one the many work stoppages throughout history. |

Usually I start off with the Sox to check out the world and see what every team looks like. I usually sim a couple seasons see what happens then start a real game.
I'm either going to play as the Indians or the Padres again, but maybe the Reds. I love reclamation projects and those seems to be the best bets. Though the Indians are kind of loaded now. Then I'll probably do a 80's historic Red Sox league when Clemens enters. That's when I started rooting for them so I figure it'd be a good place to start.

I love playing as the Padres bcuz a) theyre my hometown team and b) its easy to make reclamation projects out of fringe pitchers and have them turn in career years

I'll probably start a fresh Padres league, because I've done that every year for the last 3 or 4 years. I love pitchers parks, and they're also my local team.
But with historical minor leagues being a thing now, I'm going to have to do a Braves historical league starting in the late 80's-early 90's. It'll be fun seeing how differently all those great players that I grew up watching develop, and what surprising players step forward to have great careers. I'm not sure which of those things I'll do first. Last edited by Blackened30; 02-29-2016 at 11:55 PM. |

I'll be importing the fictional game I've had going for a few years now. I'm currently managing/GMing the Cincinnati Royals to a less that stellar record. There is a good chance I'll be out of a job by the time OOTP17 hits my laptop because the owner is not happy. So I guess my answer is "we'll see".
But if I were to start a new game I'd start unemployed and try to work my way into a Major League job. |
