11 Inning Complete Game No Hitter!

I kept debating on whether or not to keep him in, but his pitch count wasn't bad and I finally scored in the top of the 11th! I was on the edge of my seat!

Congratulations on the no-hitter Andy!
You obviously made the right call.

Only 114 in 11 innings, efficient too!

Infractions: 1/0 (0)
80 strikes in 114 pitches is rather extraordinary.

Great pitching on both sides. 11 innings in a modern game is pretty amazing and only 114 pitches.

Yep, I think that was in the 6th.

I just started this Fictional MLB league and unfortunately this guy is going to have a short career. He's a 2 star pitcher and is 41! His age is part of the reason I ran him out there in the 10th and 11th.

Wasn't this a movie starring Kevin Costner?

At least he'll have something to talk about at his retirement party.

10 years only one no-hitter over countless games and versions and here I see an 11 inning no-no!

Good job!

Forgot to mention the date of this game happened on my actual birthday (April 20). What a great gift for the manager!

Excellent! Do you know where he was after 9 innings?

Isn't it called a "Maddux" (after Greg) if you throw a complete game in under 100 pitches?

I do know he has one of the craziest complete games I've ever seen from 1997 against the Cubs: 76 pitches, 63 strikes. Of course, that game wasn't a no-hitter (or even a shutout), but still. Absurd!

I think he was right around 90, but don't hold me to it. I do remember that he only threw 15 through the first 2 innings and then I was mad when the Brewers first batter of the 3rd had a 6 pitch AB.

This is part of the reason why I decided to scratch my MLB quickstart league and go back to fictional. I don't know how the rest of the season will go for my team and Ed Hutchinson, but I will always remember him and this game.

Yeah...114 pitches is quite efficient.

I always play some hype-up music when I'm locked into a no-hit bid.
