Who to be? (MLB 2014)
There may be one of these threads around, but I haven't found it(if there is sorry!)
As I don't root for any team, I'm not sure who to play in the MLB game I'm about to start. I prefer the NL over the AL. So out of these options who would you play as? New York Mets - IRL they suck (Just kidding Lukas) Miami Marlins - Good young players Milwaukee Brewers - No world series wins. San Diego Padres - No, no hitters, cycles or World Series titles. Colorado Rockies - See the Brewers. Arizona Diamondbacks - Almost as bad as the Mets. Last edited by Doc_Brown; 05-09-2014 at 11:56 AM. |

In another thread here: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ml#post3671378 I tried to do the math on who the hardest team would be.

Marlins. Build the team around Fernandez and Stanton. They should be competitive soon enough .You have to fire Jeffrey Loria first though!

I played as the Diamondbacks. Just finished my first season, and went from nearly a 100 loss pace halfway to the year to finishing with 78 wins, even after trading away some solid players. I'm guessing that wouldn't be the norm for them though.

He just died in my MLB sim. It was the first of that kind of message that I ever enjoyed.

The Padres, their lowest budget and revenue stream plus their Pitcher's park always makes me want that challenge, and then I join an online league and see how frustrating it is

Padres are tough this year, I can usually turn them around quickly but....
On the plus side in my game they have some phenomenal players in the minors, plus 3+ years of drafting in the top ten isn't bad I am actually terrified to continue the 2017 season after this start... |
