Wrestling Database

Hi all, I am currently making a wrestling database, don't know why, just something I fancied playing, as I am not into wrestling matches themselves, but more into the characters and gimmicks, I thought I would create a universe based on wrestlers as boxers.

So far I have created TNA and am about to begin WWE.

The reason I am posting here, as once its done, is anyone interested in me uploading it for others to use? if you are as soon as I have completed it, ill happly upload it here (somehow) if not ill just keep it for a personal thing.

P.S I am dying for a management mod, as good as TB is, its hard to simulate a management side of it all in your head.

Yes definitely interested. I stopped watching wrestling at the end of the attitude era, but have many great memories of it. Like you said the gimmicks are what made it fun to watch.

I would prob create 7 or 8 feds, like I just finished TNA which I have renamed TNA Boxing.

So all the boxers (wrestlers) will fight in that fed only, then when the time come I may arrange a cross fed fight.

I had to make the wrestlers 10 years younger though, as I thought a 57 year old Hulk Hogan fighting is unrealistic, I mean even a 47 year old one is pushing it.

I just started on WWE which is renamed WBF (World Boxing Federation).

It will take me some time, but as soon as its done, ill upload it.

Brian Downey's Table Top sports page has a file for the WCW wrestlers he created board game cards for.

Ive modified an old wrestling program ESWF. Its in fact so old youll have a hard time finding anything about it or anyone who still has the program. I do and have modified it so much and add almost every named wrestler.

One of the better sources for style, holds, and stats is Cagmatch. Very comprehensive in the sense that it covers past and present.

I actually did a bunch of ratings (mostly mid-1980s) for use with the Jeff Downey "TV Wrestling" game and just stumbled upon it earlier this year while of was doing some research.

As far as getting an idea of a wrestler's style and holds, it works really well as a source for cooking up ratings for a wrestling sim.
