Can a Catcher win a Perfect Team batting title

Smoky Burgess is batting .384 for my Owlz team. He is the regular catcher against lefties and righties. But since starting Catchers tend to play 124 games with 500 plate appearances this doesn't appear to be enough for the batting title? Without playing another position, a starting Catcher really can't win a batting title in THIS game?

How many plate appearances did he have? Was he only catching?

He was only catching, 525 PA and 479 AB in 122 games.

you only need 502 to qualify which is reasonable in about 120 games

and if short you can still win if you would still have the highest BA if the missing plate appearances were all outs

The trick is to bat him earlier in the lineup. I have found that if he bats in the top four, he will generally get enough pa to get the batting title --- but not if he is near the bottom of the lineup.

He had 496 plate appearances. He was short due to the defensive substitution I had setup for late in the game.

Only 3 catchers have ever done it IRL.

So it's not that they can't win it in THIS game, but its just a really rare feat given the demands of the position

Sounds like the rule for adding plate appearances as outs is not coded into the game.
