I was heavily involved in drafting the first round. I wanted to make sure each team had an "icon". I found it really helped me connect with each team and remember them.

I then chose the Reapers as my team to control for the start of the league.

Year 1 All Star Game

The first All Star Game show cased the United Baseball Alliances best. Willie Montanez of the Charlotte Flyers hit the first All Star Game home run in the top of the 4th off of Doug Drabek of the Phoenix Devils.

Montanez went on to take All Star MVP honors going 2/3 with a home run and 2 runs batted in.

The Tampa Pirates entered the inaugural season as the favorites and did not disappoint, winning 94 games.

The Pirates have earned a first round bye and will await the winner of the Wild Card Round between the DC Generals and Hartford Whalers.

The Dallas Oilers were predicted to finish 3rd in the Pacific League South. They not only qualified for the playoffs, but they ended the season as the top team in the Pacific League and will earn a first round bye. They will await the winner of the Wild Card Round between the Provo Raptors and Green Bay Braves.

Year 1 Atlantic League Wild Card Round

The Atlantic League Wild Card Round will feature the DC Generals (86-76) versus the Hartford Whalers (90-72). The two teams split the 10 game regular season series 5-5.
