Completing the Mets and Giants (10 missions) gets you a very nice combo of Perfect Gaylord Perry and Perfect Buster Posey.

There are a lot of perfects across all of these.
Looks like I've got about two thirds complete already and just a card away on the rest. Haven't seen the Ashburn yet on the AH but could be a nice CF option to upgrade from Live Trout |

To my utter shattering, I have batted 0-for-7 on the Mets missions despite hogging all the cards I can get paws on.
Sigh. Some day, I'll be a winner. Some day. In some game.

Oh yeah! 7 Mets Missions nets you that perfect Gooden.
Surely you have to be over 50% or almost done on some of them?

what the **** is that giants mission requiring 93 ewing, 95 davis, and 97 mathewson?
just why mets one that needs two of jefferies/gooden/cone is also a disaster |

Was able to complete the 7-pack of Phillies missions this afternoon and received the 100 Richie Ashburn. He's like a rich man's Super Ichiro.
The SE Dick Allen, SE Sherry Magee, and SE Mike Schmidt could be useful in the event I try out an all RHB team. The SE John Kruk card will be a ringer in the gold tourneys. I had the entire collection nearly finished on launch save for a pair of Gavvy Cravath cards that I picked up for 15K each and a 95 Dick Allen that I pounced on for 20K about 37 seconds after it was posted. I even had an extra Chase Utley (only needed one of them) and Darren Daulton that I didn't need. So it was about 50K to complete this one and the Ashburn (not mine) sold for 525K. Nice.

Will pay handsomely for any of the following:
94 Steve Carlton 96 Bill Freehan 96 or 99 Duke Snider This is all I have left for collection missions, so put 'em up if you got 'em! |

heh, good luck
I finished off the phillies since I already got lucky with the carlton randomly months ago. Mets I will probably do, but need 3 bottlenecks. Giants might be the only one I don't finish. Requirements are absurd for no elite 400K payoff and I'm getting more and more bored refreshing the AH. |

Mr. Tiger's Early Years
About a week ago there were two McAuliffs. One went for the 35k BIN but the other had no BIN and so I bided my time to snipe at the last second. Considering I only had 28K at the time, I felt that sniping was my only chance. So of course, that second McAuliff went for my highest bid + 1.
Tonight, idly checking the AH before going turning in, my gehringer|crawford|cobb|hiller|mcauliff search team yielded a McAuliff at 30K with a BIN of 40K. I had just pulled a Gold Live Zach Wheeler a day ago (from a tourney pack no less) so I sold him to get me just over 40K. Then, with only the slightest hesitation (okay a bit more than the slightest because is McAuliff even usable?!?), I bought McAuliff and thus finally unlock Perfect Norm cash for the Wey-Yu Xenomorphs. But boy did I pay for that guy: 0037 : Tom Morgan (10/28/19, first card) 0475 : Jim Bunning 0556 : Ray Boone 0450 : Frank Lary 0500 : Don Mossi 0299 : Charlie Maxwell 0000 : Harvey Kuenn (pulled) 5109 : Al Kaline 3000 : Al Kaline 4000 : Hank Aguirre 52000 : Rocky Colavito 40000 : Dick McAuliffe (12/18/19, last card acquired) TOTAL : 106426 So of course Perfect Norm Cash's current last L7 is under 100K! Colavito was another instance of just buying it as soon as one came up in the AH while I had the $. Like McAuliff, once I started looking for him he only came up once or twice a week.

Glad that a fellow OOTP board-walker was able to get that mission done. Looking forward to see him on your tourney teams perhaps.

I'm sure you know this, but someone could have bid way more than you on that McAuliffe but they will always win it for your bid plus one.
Also fixing the last seven bug is very annoying for people actually trying to complete missions. |

I feel silly for asking this but what exactly was the L7 bug? My understanding is that it under-reported the L7. And is it completely fixed? There's a Peak Gehringer up right now with an L7 of 5000.

Before last week any sale that was more than some multiple of the last seven was not counted.
So cards like Colavito, Hiller, etc. would show an average of 8,000 but actually sell for 60,000. The last 7 though would never move off 8,000 so people who didn't know any better would pack one and list it for around that. not sure about that gehringer, maybe someone just listed one for 5,000 |
