60 Day IL Trade

Hello!

I have agreed to a deal in an online league, where I am trading a player currently on the 7 day IL to another team. His injury estimates that he is out for another three weeks.

I'd like to move this player to the 60 Day IL to free up a 40 man roster spot pre-sim (and subsequently move a player onto my active roster) but am concerned about a complication that nullifies the deal.

Chiefly: If I put the player on the 60 day IL on my end, it says he will be required to stay on the list for 39 more days- 18 more days than his current diagnosis would keep him out of action.

Will the team that acquires this player be required to have him on the IL for that extended duration (past the three weeks he is currently out) or will he land on their DFA after the deal, at which point they can put him on their 40 man roster and then put him on their 7 Day IL, no harm no foul?
