Off to a 6-5 start and I will gladly take that considering how much of my offense is underperforming. I can't see Mark Grace and Al Dark continue to hit in the .160's and Whitey Lockman in the .130 range. They will come around.

Something is off with my pitching. I have it set to "Strict - On Occasion Highest rested". Here is how many games my starters have pitched each 11 games into the season

Carlos Martinez - Has started 5 games
Randy Jones - Has started 3 games
Rich Hill - Has started 2 games
Wilbur wood - Has started 1 game
Joe Musgrove - has started 0 games

That seems far more often than "occasionally" when it comes to starting the highest rested pitcher.

Probably but it has only been 14 in game days. Martinez pitched

Tuesday the 2nd - 99 pitches
Friday the 5th - 60 pitches (2 days rest after a 99 pitch outing)
Monday the 8th - 61 pitches (2 days rest - pulled after 3.1 scoreless innings)
Thursday the 11th - 61 pitches (2 days rest - pulled after 3.1 innings)
Sunday the 14th - 62 pitches (2 days rest - pulled after 3 innings)

Somebody tell me how that makes any sense. Nothing in my global strategies or Martinez's player strategies explain that. All my settings in both cases are at the default. I have switched to Strict order for now. That just seems bugged.

Oh, and because of the above my bullpen is gassed.

Seriously though, I'm sorry that that is happening to you. I have seen others post similar complaints, but if there are any solutions or temporary work arounds, they are beyond my knowledge.

Wouldn't that be a kick in the you know what.

Luckily I am still 7-5 and only have -2 run differential so I have not been that bad yet. Here is hoping my next starter can pitch long enough to give my bullpen a break.

One of the many awesome features of my particular league is that none of the people who joined it are spending real money. We have one Perfect card pulled from a pack, one Diamond card pulled from a pack, and a few Gold cards more than the required amount would demand from the teams' starter packs.

started off great. then ran into the two buzzsaws in my league back to back. close games all, but losses all the same. now barely above .500

Technically does not mean anything. Someone could have spent $5-10 and not pulled a thing from their packs. Unlikely, but possible.

There's also currently a team in my league that's 13-4 and leading the division named "F2P BTW" and I definitely chuckled.

Absolutely true, good point. It's still for all intents and purposes a safe space for anyone frustrated with bought super-teams (which seems to be a vocal minority of posters on the forum).

Just got a chance to check my team. I am in the NY Beta league. We have started out 8-9. Here is the roster I am using so far. I don't have any 2018 Live cards. I have been selling them and trying my luck in packs.

I started off on the unlucky side opening packs. Chad Green was my initial Gold. I can't imagine a draw much worse than a 80 Relief Pitcher. Since then, I pulled 2 Golds (Rizzo and Keuchel), but no Perfects, Diamonds, and only 1 Silver (Diekman).

In the entry Pool, I started off 35 games under 0.500 going into September. What I was doing obviously wasn't working, so I decided to go with the lefty strategy. Maxed out my park for lefty hitters and dropped it to the min for RHB (even though it's not as extreme as it used to be). Dropped all my RH hitters except Mark Belanger who I kept for defense and brought in an all LH starting rotation (Keuchel, Haddix, Lester, Newcomb, and Ray). For the last two months of Entry Pool, I was only a few games under 0.500. Since that was a big improvement, I decided to stick with it.

Amazingly, I'm off to a 16-8 start. I don't expect it to last, but there only looks to be a couple whale teams in my conference, neither of which are in my division, so I might be able to be in the hunt for a playoff spot and should at least make the top 16 to be promoted which I definitely wasn't expecting going into the season.

Whats the record for fewest achievements for a team with a decent record? I am 12-12 and I've earned 170 PP through April 29.

In The Beta I went a span of, i think, 28 in game days without earning any.

I'm pleasantly surprised to be 15-10 after April, only 2.5 games back in my division and 1 game back in the wildcard. Especially as my team has only two low-end golds (one of which is a reliever/closer) and no diamonds or perfects. Finished today's sim 1 game into a 4-game series against one of the whales in my league so my record might take a big dip first thing tomorrow.

Primary lineup and pitching below.

For my starters, I've gone with a 'fiery but wild' strategy for the most part (that David Cone is the bronze version - he has better stuff than the silver version but worse movement, control, stamina).

EDIT: I haven't adjusted any of my ballpark factors, and am not planning to.
