What's the default data path for the steam version?
Hi,
So I tried changing what the default data path was, under settings-->expert, but even after moving my saved league directory to that new location and restarting, it wouldn't load my season. So I tried clicking 'reset' from the expert menu, but that didn't do anything, my new data path was still in the custom data path box. Does anyone know what the original data path is so I can put it back in?? I've tried uninstalling the game completely and then reinstalling it, but for some reason it still remembers my previous custom setting. I can't get rid of it! As such I can't currently play my season as I get the 'OOTP cannot load this database because the file world.dat is missing' message when I click continue game. Thanks! |

Accipiter, when I look at Expert - Custom Data Path, the default looks to go to C:\Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/OOTP Baseball 15. Hopefully that helps you.
Also, I opened a saved game and clicked on DATABASE under Game Settings. In there, it states that my game uses the default database folder at C:\users\todd\documents\out of the park developments\ootp baseball 15\database. I actually believe this is the location, as everything I work on in a league tends to be place in the local users directory. Todd |

I checked the game. This is strange. In previous versions I thought you could reset the save game path. I only see a custom data path now. When I click to change it shows /programfiles/steam/steampps/common/OOTP Baseball 15
This folders and its subfolders don't look like it has anything to do with custom databases or saves games like the old options did. I am not sure if this is different with steam or the custom data path option just changed with 15. There used to be a way to specify custom database and save game paths. This is not it. At least not in Steam. Last edited by Biggio509; 01-14-2015 at 03:08 PM. |
