Game only generated 25 players for amateur draft

Haven't had this issue before. Draft is set for 15 rounds and the game is set to generate players for 17 rounds. The draft is scheduled for March 1st. I never noticed the game generate a class. Once March 1st hit, I go to the draft and there are only 25 players in the entire draft class.

Is there a way to regenerate the draft class at this point?

are you using feeders?

Is this a new league or ongoing league? Has it had normal drafts in past years? Have you changed the date of the draft?

I haven't had this happen before, just looking for clues as to the reason.

As far as a fix, have you tried moving the draft to a later date and giving the game another chance to generate a full class.

It was a MLB startup. This is the 2018 draft. I moved the date of the draft, but have not had any issues before. Last years draft was the same date (March 1st) and didn't have any issues.

I haven't tried moving the date of the draft yet. I'm avoiding doing anything to the game at this point.

When did your preseason start and how long are rookies revealed before the draft?

9 times out of ten when I'm about to get angry at my game... I have a filter on that I forgot about.

No filter. I did actually have one on the first time I looked (it was showing 0 players), then I cleared it and found the 25 I have.

Seems like my hunch was right.

Pre-season begins a month before spring training. The game won't generate a draft class during off-season if it has already generated one earlier in the season.

You set it up to create the draft class 3 days before pre-season.

Things should be right again next season.

Are the 25 players that show in your draft pool the ones from the previous draft that demanded too much money and didn't sign? I think shawa666 has the right reason. Move your draft forward to April 1st and see if works.

Better option:

TURN ON COMMISSIONER MODE.
Go into the free agents screen. There's an option to generate draft-eligible players.

Thanks guys, just moving the draft forward fixed it (I think I eneded up drafting April 2nd). Not sure why the game gives me the option to schedule the amateur draft before it's ready, but it's a fairly easy fix.
