Power goes out during playoffs
I was down to one playoff game remaining for the day(15 previous games played out) when the power went out.
Since I manually play the playoffs(since OOTP can't handle 70 team playoffs) I had already wrote down the winning teams. After the power came back on I then quick played the games that were already played and 7 out of the 15 games played had different results. I also play another larger league(still playing regular season) but nothing was effected since I normally save once I am done playing the one league and switch playing to the other league. Having second thought's how I handled the replayed games. I should have taken three players off the original losing teams roster giving them an even better chance at having the same results as the first time. This would have been a real headache if I had been playing the final round. Power faliures and computer updates are nothing I can control but I try to be at the computer while playing but that's not 100 percent possible having larger leagues. |

law of independent results..
there is no less integrity the 2nd time.. merely shows you that what happens is one of many possibilities.. .even though the actual results are all that can happen, at least in real life... ootp, you can keep replaying and try to get the previous results, but it'll never quite be the same again... playing them individually until a similar result is best you can do. even that won't be the same... let's say you get the right team to win, but now their bullpen is completely devastated for the next game, but the intiial time th eSP pitched a CG... i would let go of the old results... chalk it up to flipping a coin again and getting tails... it's no less real.. no less integrity. just different outcomes. I've lost the first few months of a season before... some of my favorit players were doing some crazy things... lost all that. lost the records they were going to set, lost their streaks / development etc... it was like nothing could go wrong for those few months and somehow i lost the data (think it was corrupted and had to restore.. been a while my ootp's don't crash much in years now.. possibly because i avoid the updates for 2 weeks, lol). once the tunnel-vision of frustration abates, you'll be fine... won't even think about it by next season, i bet.
