Length of your hires
If any of you become GM for a team and start cleaning house, do you take your time looking over candidates in the Staff Search or do you immediately start hiring the big names? Like if you fire Andy Green in San Diego, do you immediately offer a contract to Girardi or Showalter?
Do you go thru each and every PC and HC to get just that right one even though their descriptions are kinda vague? Big splash or due diligence?? |

Due diligence all the way. That big name may be the wrong guy for your team. Coaches and managers must be the right fit for the roster and visa versa. If there is incompatibility the team will go nowhere.
