Battle of the Ages - Queensberry Cup

First off, I need to give credit to Scot (SAL) as the inspiration for this came from his KFC World Series. This will be very similar to his league in that there will be 4 tiers of fighters, who will fight a round robin within their group in an effort to climb to the next tier and fight for the prestigious Queensberry Cup. As an added twist this is involves fighters from different eras, competing to advance from one of four leagues, into the tier cup competition and it will be heavyweight only. Details below.

Four historical groups, with the first 52 fighters the debuted from the start of their period making up the initial pool. All fighters start at prime and aging is random based on fights.
The four groups, based on debut year are: Founders (all 19th century fighters-1909), Old Timers (1910-1949), Veterans (1950-1989), Modern (1990-Present)
Tiers
- Premier Tier: 2 Groups of 8 - Winner of each group fight for the Queensberry Cup, the 7th and 8th place fighter in each group is relegated to Silver Tier
- Silver Tier: 4 groups of 8, winner of each group goes to Premier Tier, the 7th and 8th place fighter in each group is relegated to Bronze Tier
- Bronze Tier: 4 groups of 8, the 1st and 2nd place fighters of each group goes to Silver Tier, the 5th through 8th place fighters in each group is relegated to their era qualifying group
- Era Qualifying Tier: 32 fighters (Founders, Old timers, Veterans, Modern) based on debut era. Qualifying consists of three swiss rounds, with the 4 fighters going 3-0 gaining entrance to the cup tier. The 8 fighters going 0-2 are forced to retire and replaced by the next 8 fighters to debut from that era the following season. The number of fighters that debut can change depending on how many from that era are relegated from Bronze Tier. So if three fighters from 1870's get sent down, only 7 new would debut.
In addition to forced retirements, fighters will also retire due to aging, so some years more than 8 fighters may debut from a certain era. There will always be 52 active fighters from each era.
Ties for relegation/promotion are broken based on performance points in the game.
Scoring is 10 point must - Referee only (Draws count on record, but are fought over)
I will simulate each group one at a time, starting from the bottom, with standings and results. The Queensberry Cup fight will be posted in round by round detail each season.

mine is still in very early 1st round stage (doing the 8 classes) working on it and should have some type of finals up by Saturday/sunday

The wildest group of season 1 thus far, with a four way tie being decided by performance points. In the end, it was a low blow that cost Tommy Gibbons the top spot and promotion to the Premier group next season.

We have our first qualifier for the Queensberry cup set as Liston slides in after George Godfrey was upset in the final round of the group, after upsetting Liston himself earlier. Harry Greb had looked like a serious threat, but lost his final 4 bouts in the group, including three in a row by disqualification, leading in all three of those losses.

This will be very similar to his league in that there will be 4 tiers of fighters, who will fight a round robin within their group in an effort to climb to the next tier and fight for the prestigious Queensberry Cup. As an added twist this is involves fighters from different eras, competing to advance from one of four leagues, into the tier cup competition and it will be heavyweight only. Details below. Four historical groups, with the first 52 fighters the debuted from the start of their period making up the initial pool. All fighters start at prime and aging is random based on fights. The four groups, based on debut year are: Founders (all 19th century fighters-1909), Old Timers (1910-1949), Veterans (1950-1989), Modern (1990-Present) Tiers Premier Tier: 2 Groups of 8 - Winner of each group fight for the Queensberry Cup, the 7th and 8th place fighter in each group is relegated to Silver Tier Silver Tier: 4 groups of 8, winner of each group goes to Premier Tier, the 7th and 8th place fighter in each group is relegated to Bronze Tier Bronze Tier: 4 groups of 8, the 1st and 2nd place fighters of each group goes to Silver Tier, the 5th through 8th place fighters in each group is relegated to their era qualifying group Era Qualifying Tier: 32 fighters (Founders, Old timers, Veterans, Modern) based on debut era. Qualifying consists of three swiss rounds, with the 4 fighters going 3-0 gaining entrance to the cup tier. The 8 fighters going 0-2 are forced to retire and replaced by the next 8 fighters to debut from that era the following season. The number of fighters that debut can change depending on how many from that era are relegated from Bronze Tier. So if three fighters from 1870's get sent down, only 7 new would debut. In addition to forced retirements, fighters will also retire due to aging, so some years more than 8 fighters may debut from a certain era. There will always be 52 active fighters from each era. Ties for relegation/promotion are broken based on performance points in the game. Scoring is 10 point must - Referee only (Draws count on record, but are fought over) I will simulate each group one at a time, starting from the bottom, with standings and results.
