I think the patch actually sped it up quite a bit, very impressive.

Can someone remind me, or show me, how to import single historical players?

I don't send anybody if the box comes up. 9/10 he gets thrown out. I've had a very fast runner thrown out by a below average thrower many times. Not worth it imo.

I've also noticed that too many runners are being thrown out trying to take an extra base. Feels a bit too high .

Is it possible / could it be made possible to turn crowd noise off but keep the rest of the in-game sounds on? I like hearing the crack of the bat and the umpires' calls, but the constant background crowd noise is too much when I'm not focused on the game.

Go into your sounds folder and remove the files you don't want to hear. Most of them have identifiable names. I don't think it'll cause a problem, but you can let us know.

Loving the game; not really digging the weird home run trot where they sprint at superhuman speeds to third base before slowing down.

Thanks! I deleted the two files called "crowd_[something]" which helped a bunch. Still not sure how I feel about the booing noises, but this at least got rid of the background crowd noise.

EDIT: this would be much easier if Macs had the Windows application-specific sound mixer.

How do I Download patches if I have the version bought off the ootp website? also do I need to redownload or am I ok to roll with the game I downloaded on the 20th as the beta?

Has the over-abundance of players wanting to be at the top of the lineup returned? I have 4 players suddenly wanting to be at the top of the lineup, none of which wanted it in '17, and only one of which who is a legit top of the lineup guy.

how about skins for steam version? any plans to put them in the workshop sometime soon? I am a little shocked this wasn't released with the game on Friday, I wouldn't have bought it yet if I knew I couldn't edit the skins.

I had read this was included in the new features. It isnt though.

When he post a thread with new patch. What I do it click download and turn off my game if I'm running ootp, then I act as if Its new. Once it downloads it installs and bamm! New Patch and with all your saved stuff.

I just switched a couple of my leagues to a single division and no playoffs to go along with promotion/relegation. Is it normal to have all teams show with an "e" next to their name in the standings? It reads like all teams are eliminated, but there is really nothing for them to be eliminated from.

Best record wins the league, plus it also shows a magic number for the first place team. That would be contradictory...it's irrelevant anyway since I just toggled the disable playoffs button off and on and it fixed it.

Some of the explanations of the new features have typos. For example the promotion/relegation explanation in league setup looks like it was written by Google Translate.

Setup your league as you see fit then save it as a template then import it into your league. Essentially the same thing.
