does the World cup of hockey only happen in 2016 or does it happen every 4 years like every other INTL tournament in the game?

I think the main issue right now is the likely format change in 2020 and later - there's a good chance there'll be no more Team Europe and/or North America, if reports are true. That's probably going to be a bit problematic to deal with.

With "problematic to deal with", do you mean that the real life NHL licensing of the game is the problem

If not, why is it problematic to speculate about future editions when that is all we have to go by, when if we do not we make the game less fun.

Fair point about the NHL. Sebastian said they had to review everything so maybe they said 'no WC after 2016'

No, I making two "national" teams inactive, adjusting the code that kept the U-23 guys off the Canada and US rosters, figuring out how/if to replace them and with whom, possibly needing to add a qualifying tournament, etc, etc.

What about just keeping the tournament as it is, how much problems could that be.
