Newbie Question
Hi,
I have been playing baseball sims since the 1980s (pre-dating computers). I just purchased OOTP 17. I have set up a league but have not played any games yet. I was playing another sim and though the game had issues I really liked my roster. Is there a way to force transactions so I can replicate my roster? |

Yes, enable commissioner mode. Should be under manager settings.

Yep. With Commissioner Mode you can force trades through even if the other GM doesn't agree to them, and even outright assign players to whatever team you want.

I had Cards and dice. Then a TRS 80.
In a few weeks I'll know this hame inside and out I hope. But for now I need some help in changing the commisioner setting. I have not played any games yet, but did set up a league. Does this make a diffrence? |

You can then select player and select Editor to change team (Team Information) or force through trades if you prefer. |

I had the first computer baseball game put out by SSI. Later I had Old Time Baseball which I really liked. Both for the Apple II+. Wow, time flies.

IN 3D mode the play by play is way behind the action on the field. I have a 4K display.
Also more consitancy with the buttons, some screens it is "return to game" and others it is "broadcast" Took me a while to figure that out. Also why is MIKE TROUT in all caps? Last edited by Bobfather; 06-12-2016 at 11:11 PM. |

I can answer that last question for you. The game puts players on your shortlist in all caps, so they stand out more. I'm guessing you put him on your shortlist?
Personally, that bit drives me up a wall but I'm a stickler for aesthetics.
