Ratings Decrease for Trea Turner?
http://imgur.com/TMcva6UFor the past couple seasons, he has had relatively good years but his ratings, along with potential, continues to decrease. This happens with different players too but I don't understand how a young player, at 25, can decrease if he's playing well? Is it because he doesn't mesh well with my manager or hitting coach?

It is random talent change. At this point it doesn't look like he'll develop into a superstar.

His stats and ratings aren't all that contradictory. He's slightly above average in contact, gap power and eye/discipline, and his average and extra-base hits are about what you'd expect from 55s and 60s in those categories. Third homers is about what you'd expect from a 45 power and the 136 Ks are about right for a 40 in Avoid K.
Remember that in the 20-80 scale, a 50 rating is an average MLB rating. So a player with all 50s would be an average Major Leaguer. |
