Expansion and Minor League Rosters

I created a league and simmed about 10 season and expanded my 16 team fictional league by 2 teams. I have two divisions, each with 9 teams now.

However, both minor league teams (one of the teams is controled by the AI and one by me) has no players. I only have AAA and AA minor league systems slected.

I've tried using the "create fictional players to fill the teams" function on both teams, but nothing happens and no players are ever generated.

What should I do to get the minor league systems of both teams filled?

Sign free agents, if enough exist in your universe.

it depends on how much work you want to do. What I did was run a 2nd expansion draft, but protect like 40 players, so the only players avail to draft will be from the minors. After the draft, move all the selected players to your 2 expansion teams, and delete the other two teams.

Are you certain you had the correct league selected when you ran this. If you had MLB selected by accident it would not create fictional players if all 25 man rosters were full.
