Help editing old PCL schedules
I have here 2 schedules made by Cooley for the old PCL... They are however for 8 teams... I was wondering if someone here who's knows how to work with schedules a little better than I do would convert these to 6 teams leaving everything else the same... Any help is as always most appreciated...

Yo can't really convert an 8 team schedule to a six team one; you'd have to make a whole new schedule.

Ok... Well maybe I can ask for someone to make me two schedules just like these two but for 6 teams... Here is the readme that goes with these that explains their format... Any help is appreciated...

I wish I knew what happened to gmo....he was the best at this and would turn them out quick. I tried to make a custom schedule once from scratch and I spent 4 days on it and then gave up......

I'll give it a go - should only take an hour or two for me to put together with Excel.
What season length would you want? 196 (28 weeks) would be fine, but unbalanced. I think going up to 210 games would be the way to go, because 140 seems a bit short. |

Thanks... I would like the exact same setup as in the ones I posted, just with 6 teams... 196 games, 7 game series, see below for details...
Two schedules setup like this: #1 ILN_BGY_G196_SL1_D1_T6_7gameseries.lsdl * This Schedule better mimics the old PCL schedules by having single games on W/Th/Fr and DH on Sa/Su. Monday is a travel day. #2 ILN_BGY_G196_SL1_D1_T6_7gameseries.lsdl * This version is even closer to an old PCL style by having single games on Tu/W/Th/Fr and DH on Su. Monday is still a travel day. |

This should do for the first one - single games on Wed/Thu/Fri, doubleheaders on Saturdays and Sundays. All games set for 7:00 PM local during the week, and 1:00/7:00 local on the weekend. I think I managed to make sure no team had a three-week road trip, but I may have missed a stray one.
It should be quick for me to manipulate this one into the second one you want, but I wanted to get this one up quick. EDIT: There's the second one. Let me know how it works - both worked for me in testing but you never know. Last edited by Ruwisc; 05-11-2014 at 02:33 PM. |

I changed the start times then imported it... Works well except for 2 things... There are only 194 games, not 196, not a big deal... Second and I can't find out why its doing this, all start times are correct except for two series and they start at 10:00 am... They are with the same team... I checked the start times in the schedule and they are all either 1300 or 1500... Can't figure that out, again no big deal I can live with it...
If its not a problem to edit and make it 196 games, that would be appreciated... If its a problem or a lot of work, don't bother with it... Many thanks for your help so far and for getting to it so quickly, most appreciated... tx Last edited by txranger; 05-11-2014 at 03:35 PM. |

That's strange, it's all working perfectly well for me over here - all games at 1300/1900, 196 games per team for both.

Thought I would chime in and say both schedules have the correct 196 games. Didn't bother to check game times but those could be easily edited in-game if they were wrong.

I can't see why those two series of games are at 10:00 am... I tried reloading the schedule, I have checked through it thoroughly, all of the games are 1300 or 1500... Just can't see why its doing that... Not going to worry about it...

Delete the entire row in the schedule not just the matchup. Correct the element line to match your leage setup and your good to go. |

Probably something to do with time zones.
