Thanks both of you, they both look great. (Koo, your zip file isn't attached, btw) Does anyone know if it's possible to add notes text. I'd like to do short three or four sentence write-ups on the players as opposed to showing stats.

bah. crap sorry. will reattach the zip tonight. But yeah, you can add static text but you'd just have to manually edit the xml before you generate the plaque for each player.

Thanks! Was hoping there was some sort of tag to grab the note text stored in the game for each player. I guess it won't be too bad re-writing the xml for each player. That'll help to make sure the formatting is good for each of them.

Much thanks koohead! I'm going to try and tinker around a little bit with the files in the next few days. I'll post what I get when I'm done. I'm sure I'll have a few questions before then though.

Thanks again koo for getting me started on this. After messing around with your file and trying to get some grittiness to it, I ended up just going back to the original file and learning how to use paint.net a little bit. You definitely got me pointed in the right direction though. Here's an example of what I've come up with so far.

Once I figured out the clone tool, it wasn't too difficult. There's someone else in the league doing the write-ups.

Wanted to bump this as I put Koo's hof.xml into my templates and it's named as such
The png is in my image folder as hofplaque_zpse13b850c.png But I get nothing, nada...no plaque whatsoever, just white Also for cards, I can get regular baseball cards with Allen Ginter, but gold gloves, Pitcher of the year are just the players pics How bad did I screw up and ...can I fix it?

For the HOF plaque, you just have to remove the "_zpse13b850c" from the image name. For the Allen/Ginter, do you have the XMLs for the gold gloves, etc. installed? Are you creating the cards manually or is OOTP doing it for you? |

For Allen/Ginter I have everything the link in Stats wiki had. I backed up my original items, put them in a seperate folder and have the Allen/Ginter ones in my bbcard template folder.
I removed the zpse13b850c and still blank when I put Cap Anson into the HOF I am creating them myself to make sure they work. The Allen/Ginter main cards work. The Gold glove now works since I missed that image the 1st time. But HOF.xml from post 64, Pitcher/Batter of the Year, All Star nope... What should my folder look like?

I'm on my phone so I can't post screenshots, but...
Your images folder inside the templates folder should have all of the images necessary for every card template you have. In the templates folder, if you create the cards manually, you can have all of the cards in there, just named differently. Ex. "2011topps_default". If you want the game to create cards automatically, there has to be "default", "all_star", "pitcher_award", etc. |

Ike, got it
I didn't have the hof.png pulled into images, and for some reason, the Hitter and Pitcher award uses the hof.png I cannot get Koos hof.xml to work, so I reverted back to original and now no problems. Thanks a lot for your patience

I had this problem. The reason you're getting blank screens is that the window for viewing the baseball cards is too small for the plaque. Open the actual image in a seperate application and it will come up fine. |

You got it... I was wondering what was going on too until I just took a chance and clicked "open image", and there it was! Maybe somebody could go to the trouble of resizing the plaque so it fits in the OOTP window. |
