adding independent leagues

I am about 30 years into my dynasty. I would like to add a couple of independent leagues to my league structure just to add some depth.

How would I go about doing this? Do I just go through the add league button from the league setup screen? I know this opens the league creation screen and it seems like this would start a whole new baseball universe.

Yes, you do the Add League button in the League Setup. This will open the League Creation Wizard, but it's not for a whole new universe, it just adds a league to your universe.

As a caveat, it also generates new fictional players to go along with your teams, which sounds like it might not be what you're looking for. I have added a couple of independents to my universe, so what I did was only created the league with 2 teams, and then went into the league structure editor to add teams. This caused there to be a pretty small initial pool of created players, and the rest were signed from my universe's FA pool.

Thanks a bunch. This sounds what like what I need. The idea is to have a league or 2 that have been around for several years, but are just now being recognized by my Major League. So I am wanting the leagues to come into play pre-filled. Thanks again for the help!
