Looks like age might be catching up with him. Plus, the Sox have seen him so often that it would be no surprise if they figured him out.

Even as a Red Sox fan I've got to admire A-Rod (on course for around 130HR this season and 300+RBI), but he'll have to get a few more on the board before they bring Blow-Mo out in the 8th/9th
A-Rod would have loved to bat against the 2006 Beckett with his HR-giving up penchant but it'll be different this evening. |

I don't have any numbers, but it does feel like the Sox have done pretty well against Mo the last 2-3 seasons. They're usually patient enough to take what they can get with singles and gap shots and not try to put those ridiculously heavy pitches into the air.

He's 37 but that does not mean that he's over the hill yet. Advancing age ( ) may mean he takes a bit longer to get it in gear each season. Let's see how he does in May and June before we even start talking about that possibility. |

ARod is now two HR shy of Pujols MLB record for the month of April. Today being the 21st, Alex still has quite a few games left to clear that mark. I'm so happy this guy, who takes so much crap, is back to being the AL's best player.
If Alex were still in Texas, and playing 3B, the Rangers infield could approach all-time best status. |

Hey, what's with your missing "Runescape Stats" ^^^? You're taking up a lot of board white space with this, don't you think? I'm surprised the moderators have not come down on you for this.

Dola, not that it matters anyway.
Chips, beer, remote, comfy chair, "Who's Who In Baseball." Am I missing anything? 8PM EDT, ESPN, baby. Chase Wright vs. Dice-K. It's like David and Goliath in baseball (don't care if Matsuzaka is officially a rookie, he's an American media monster on top of his huge success in Japan). Play ball! |

NO SWEEP TONIGHT!!! I gotta a good feeling about this. Dice-K has pitched well but he's always getting out pitched by the other guy. I hope it happens again later.

I now have a reason to follow the Yankees a bit. I just want Torre to put Colter Bean in a game before they send him back down. Just one. All I ask.

After ARod's two homer game, he is currently slugging 1.030 on the season.
Edit: It will be interesting to see how he fares against Matsuzaka today. Last edited by darkhorse; 04-22-2007 at 05:30 PM. |
