Game 3 goes to Clyde and we're 1 away from the title. In Game 3, Spud Chandler, who was cold and in a 3-game slump, was given the ball and responded with a complete-game, 1-hit shutout.

Likewise, DH Chuck Klein, batting .154 in the postseason entering the game, doubled, homered, and drove in 3 in the 4-0 victory.

The baseball gods punished me by sending a 10-minute rain delay in the 9th inning while the Truckers were leading 2-0, after which they got walked off by a Gabby Harnett single off Tug McGraw, scoring Paul Waner.

(At least Tug didn't blow Waner a kiss. Go Braves!)

Somehow Cincinnati didn't make it - I had them friended on both my teams so I don't know what is going on there.

The two teams I don't recognize are the Wyoming Coyotes and the Muelheim Magicians. Neither is a whale.

Gold Final PT

I didn't make into the game in time to see the results, which is a shame because my San Pedro team won the Gold league. Here are the OL results from the playoffs for all time record purposes:

Arkham over Salem 1-0
Arkham over Redmond 3-2
San Pedro over Everett 4-2
Arkham over Missouri 4-3
San Pedro over Arkham 4-3

Arkham 11-9
Salem 0-1
Redmond 2-3
Everett 2-4
San Pedro 8-5
Missouri 3-4

2047 Placement

At the upper levels, things are good. At the lower levels, not so much.

Perfect: Cincinnati didn't make it in
Diamond: all good
Gold: the Patriots, Vice City 80s and Rangers did not make it in
Silver: there are 2 competing silver leagues, about half the teams are in each
Bronze: there are only 4 teams and no two are in the same league
Iron: We had a surprise demotion to Iron. Since it's just one team, no OL there.

I have updated the spreadsheet.

KQ, since none of your teams made it this week, I will reiterate what you need to do to make sure your teams will get placed next week:

1. Add all the players from the OL Friends List at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...y3o/edit#gid=0 to your friend list. Heck, add the teams one level above and one level below just to make sure you got everyone!
2. Make sure your team setting is "Use Friends List"
3. That's it!

The other teams need to friend you back, and that might be an issue at this point in the season, as engagement may have waned a bit.

Yeah, it appears I got flipped to "random league placement" again. Happened to me a couple of months ago, too.

Aaaaaaand...they blew it. Couldn't stay up for the end, but the Truckers obviously had an 18-wheel blowout, choking their way to two more losses and dropping the final. Didn't make it back in to see what happened.

Now to get our beating in Perfect.

2 times in a row of not making it for the Rangers so I may have to check to see if it got flipped back to Random. I was in it the first two seasons for them, but the last two I haven't made it in.

Silver B has Nico-Nico, Reno, and O'Fallon. There will be no 2nd crown awarded. Stats will be compiled, but if I remember by the rules, there must be at leas 4 contenders in a league for a crown to be awarded.
