RDBL updating to 19, looking for 5 GMs
Alright, so we started our Random Debut League in the 2014 season and we just finished our 31st season and are moving to 19 this week.
We have 17 dedicated GMs so our plan is to add a handful and cut down our total team count from 30 to 24 as the CPU GMs have made the quality of the online league experience less than optimal. We have a very solid core and feel that adding a handful of new GMs will fill out our league w/ 100% human GMs. Available Teams- Boston Red Sox Cleveland Indians Boston Red Sox Toronto Blue Jays Possibly- Minnesota Twins, Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit Tigers We use Slack for our communications and StatsPlus for the amateur draft and year end awards. With equalized markets and a salary cap, an involved owner can turn a team around in 1-2 seasons. Go HERE to see the teams/league This is constantly updated, so if they are listed here, they are available as you read this! email me directly if interested pcdawson2 at gmail Full League Name (Initials): Random Debut Baseball League (RDBL) Website URL: statsplus.net/rdbl Commissioner(s) OOTP Forum Username: PDHitman Email Address: pcdawson2 at gmail.com OOTP Version: OOTP 19 Game Needed?: Yes Players: 2014 Modern opening day rosters w/ random debut classes w/ some fictional baseball movie players (about 3/yr). Coming up on 20 years in this league, it has been an awesome challenge going up against a solid core of top flight GMs and balancing the salary cap. The pace of the league is great and it does not take more than a couple of seasons to rebuild if you know how to manage your money.

Fantastic league
This is without a doubt the best league I have ever been associated with. We have a core of sharp, knowledgeable and active GMs. We've had GMs be part of the league for over 30 seasons (4 years of real time). If you are looking for a stable, challenging long term league with experienced, knowledgeable and sharp GMs (not a bunch of slash and burn and bail first timers) then this is the league for you. BEWARE: It takes a couple of seasons for success in this very competitive league. If you are looking to dominate a bunch of noobs, this is not the league for you. If you are up for the challenge and want to compete against top notch competition, hit Paul up and come join the RDBL.

League for all players
First of all I have been in this league for almost 30 seasons. I have been a part of this league through college, child births and much more. There are a large number of GM's in this league that I don't only consider great competitors but friends. Even a bit of a family, we argue, we bicker and we help eachother out when someone else needs it. The ease of communication really allows for you to get involved. The daily sims and daily chats make very close knit. This league is great for an experienced GM but also great for a new comer looking to get started since all GMs are more then willing to help. Quick example, as I was preparing for the playoffs this year my OOTP 18 file went bad. Other gms stepped up to help me with my lineup, including the team I faced in the ALCS and the WS. And the commisioner is truly great, he handels all fees assosciated with the league and makes contributions annonymous and voluntary, he is active in chat and easily approachable. The league is culutarly diversive, we have had players from all over the world, we currently have a Brit! If you're looking for a league to really be a part of and not just join this leagues for you!

After playing offline since OOTP 12, I decided to try an online league. This league was the first I joined, and I've been in this league for 15 seasons now. There's a great core group of GMs who are welcoming, helpful, and great competition. I've since tried other leagues in addition to this one and realized how lucky I was to have joined this one first.

Excellent league
RDBL was my first foray into playing OOTP against live competition. I had purchased the program once every three years or so since 2002 or 2003, so I was a long-term user. And now I can say I never hardly bother playing vs. the AI because the online competition and camaraderie is so strong in RDBL.
The random debut of historical players makes this a lot of fun. The commissioner sims almost daily (he's missed maybe 10 days over the past two years). We use Slack as our chat/discussion forum. I've been in RDBL since the end of the 2017 season. We just finished 2045. It's a challenge - we have a bunch of skilled OOTP players - but it's fun! I suggest you check out RDBL! Excellent league. Solid core of long term GMs, with high skill level. Random Debut players from all eras as well as a few fictional players thrown in the mix. Fast paced, sim every day. Sometimes twice a day. Slack chat for easy trading and communications. I've played in a few different online leagues, RDBL is by far the best I've encountered yet.

Off season is about to begin. Start the new season fresh with your new team. New GMs also get to cut one contract free of charge if they choose.
All types of teams available: in need of total overhaul, mediocre, ready to contend, and even the back to back defending champions! Available teams: Boston, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Chicago White Sox, Minnesota, Milwaukee, and Kansas City |
