Historical Contracts and Offseason Quickstart
1) Starting up an historical game and then going to the salaries page is currently very disheartening. I know it'd be a lot of work, but at least for the modern era if we could get historical contract information loaded, it would greatly increase the realism and immersion in an historical game. It could be as simple as porting the standard game quickstart forward from each past edition of OOTP - that would at least give us 19 years of historical contracts.
2) Something I would love to see is an end-of-season quickstart. For this year, for example, that would have the game opening in November 2017. That lets those of us who think we can do better than the current GM (and of course all of us who play think that) not be stuck with the transactions they've made during the offseason. |

you're right, it would be a lot of work. And i don't know if MLB would allow it, even if it were in public records. i don't know. Somethings in the game aren't done because Markus and team want it that way, but because of their license with MLB.
yeah, it's a strange world out there.
