Quick "home" and "away" flip-flop question
As a quick experiment, in order to flip home/away in a schedule file I mass changed the game line from this:
<GAME day="1" time="1900" away="2" home="4" /> to this: <GAME day="1" time="1900" home="2" away="4" /> It appears to work just fine? Could someone confirm that it is indeed fine to use this way (so you could have an original and flipped version run in sequence year over year for example)? I've also done the (from the manual) trick of changing all of the numbers to letters and then changing (with help of a grid to maintain division/league opponents) the letters back to different numbers, to create a set of schedules. Works nicely! BUT should I decide to move a large block of the schedule (say the first half - Days 1 to 45 or whatever a Monday to eventual Sunday would be) and place that in the second half of a season and correspondingly move an equal block to the beginning of the schedule, is there a quick way to MASS change the days in some fashion??? I'm just not thinking of it right now without it getting complicated. |

Find-and-replace is your friend here.
day="1" to day="85", day="2" to day="86", et cetera, then subtract 42 from each day. |
