Game crashing to desktop, unable to continue

My game is stuck on April 10, 2024. Every time I hit continue, the game crashes and brings me back to the desktop. I've attached my game file, the file name is JTS28

Edit: I've also been getting a message telling me that steam must be running in order to play the game. However I only get this message after the game loads and then crashes, all while steam is up and running in the background. Not sure if its related

That file is actually just the trace file, we'll need the whole game file to see what's going wrong (and based on the date, I have a pretty good idea, and it should be fixable.) The instructions for uploading the save file to our ftp server are at http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=292870

I'm having trouble uploading, some kind of security token is missing? I'm not very computer savy but I'll see if I can figure it out

In the meantime, any idea what the problem could be? You said you had an idea

It's most likely a game where one of the teams has a roster problem, but I'll need to save to identify exactly which one. If the ftp server won't work for you, you could also just put it on a file sharing site like dropbox or mediafire and send me the link via PM.

I'm actually having a crash in my game on the exact same date. I've uploaded it using the instructions (or at least tried to, haven't done this before). Its called "Apr 10 2024 Crash.zip".

Looks like this is the problem with the Finnish third division playoffs being broken - the game was started before version 5.5.55, right? I'll see if we can fix the save manually.

It was started before 5.5.55. I think it was started while running 5.4.44 although I can't promise that is accurate.

Yeah, looks like that's the same Finnish problem. We think we have a way of fixing that retroactively in older saves now, just in the process of testing it before we release an update.

Update is out now, I've checked it with the saves posted in this thread and they all now continue without a crash.

Update got me past April 10th but now I'm having the same issue going from June 30th to July 1st. I re-uploaded the file and named it JTS28part2.zip

Yeah, crashing for me as well. It looks like the Finnish playoffs didn't complete, so that may be it, but we'll have to check a little further to be sure.

Yeah, it was the Finnish thing. New update that fixes it is out now.
