Looking for an OOTP10 League to Join? Post In This Thread!

Instead of having leagues having to keep on the lookout for people posting saying that they're looking for a league, let's have people looking for leagues post in this thread and then league members can just subscribe to it thereby getting notices to check it whenever someone expresses interest.

Make you sure you leave some way for people to contact you like an email address or by enabling private messages through the forum. You might also want to describe what type of league you're looking for, if you are particular about that, so you don't get a bunch of invitations for leagues you're not interested in. Once you're no longer looking for a league, do yourself and recruiters a favour by editing your post about that.

The only restriction is: advertising leagues in posts is forbidden in this thread. If your league looks like a league that someone looking for a league would be interested in, contact that person privately. League ads in this thread will be deleted without hesitation. This thread is to notify people of others possibly interested in joining their leagues. Spamming it with ads of other leagues will just make people less likely to read it.

Therefore, if you (as the person looking for a league) think your post might warrant some discussion or you'd like others to have the opportunity to reply to it in a thread, please start a separate thread with your post and, if you like, link to it from this thread. You should probably quote your original post too so people don't have to click through the link to read it.

Good luck in finding that perfect match!

Looking for a League to Join? Post in this Thread!

Hello,

My name is Jason Bruns and I am a 19-year old college student from Ohio. I recently pre-ordered OOTP 10 but don't have 9. I'm looking for a league that is going to start up when the new game is released or a fairly new league that will be making the switch once the new version is released. I have much experience with older versions of OOTP and I'm looking to get back into the game with this new release. My email is jaybird30bruns@yahoo.com or just shoot me a PM if anyone is interested!

Thanks!

Interested in joining historical league -- OOTP X?

Hi to everyone--

I'm really interested in joining an historical league, preferably something modern (1990s and later, though I'd do something earlier too). I'm something of a noob to OOTP-- I've played the 9 demo and I downloaded the free version of 8, but that's kinda my extent of it. I'm waiting for 10 and would really like to join a 10 league once they get going. So anybody's who putting together a 10 league and is looking for an owner, count me in!

Ootp x

Okay, I'm interested to get into an online league. I was new to OOTP with 9, but I played the "other" game for several iterations before that. I liked it, but I wanted more depth, so I'm here now.

I'm not terribly concerned with what type of league it is, so long as it's not too unrealistic. I'd prefer a modern-sized league, but small is okay too if the quality's good.

PM me if you're interested or need more info.

Thanks!

I'm interested in joining a historical league or two for OOTPX. Been playing in online leagues since OOTP4. Haven't participated in one in the past few years but I now own OOTPX and would like to give it a whirl again.

I would prefer a league in the earlier part of the 1900's but I'm willing to take a look at any of them. You can reach me on AIM at Senatorweims16 or PM me here on the boards.

Looking for a new OOTP X league just starting out...the slower the sim schedule, the better.

I've been in a great league for the past 5-6 years, and we've done real-time sims throughout - 1 day, 1 sim day. It's worked out great and allows us to keep pace with real draft classes, etc.

I think an OOTP X league that started with a fantasy draft this year, and followed this schedule (to incorporate actual draft classes year by year) could last long into the future with a good core of owners.

I hope something like this could get going

Hey I'm looking to get into an OOTPX league. I've been in sim leagues before but I'm relatively new to OOTP. I have the game. I prefer new leagues with real players. Send me a PM if you need a GM. Thanks.

Intrigued

I have never joined an online OOTP league and am a newby to the OOTP experience - played OOTP 9 and enjoyed that but am wanting to be more competitive against real - live people. I have no idea how it works so I am really a newbie, but again, please don't hold that against me. I am 32 and very familiar with the game of baseball and the ins and outs and I HATE to lose, but I do respect the person that beats me. So give me a shot - show me the ropes and I promise you won't regret it - I will make your league a lot more fun.....

Thanks!

online Noob

im very interested in joining a league as well i have played through 4 seasons and have pretty well figured out the ins and outs of ootp program and am now looking for the next level of ootp. I am very new to ootp as i played the trial of ver 9 and waited for 10, so here i am. I am looking for a league of friendly players who dont mind a few questions. I am an older player in my late 30's and this game has help bring me back to baseball. I play competive softball and used to really be into baseball until late 90's when it seemed teams started wholesale trading and you could even tell who was on your team. I guess im from the mid to late 70's where you could know the players by the numbers. oops kinda got side tracked but am looking for a fun place to play.

Greetings -

I'm also looking to join an online OOTP league. I'd prefer it be real players / teams, but have no preference for historical or present day or whether there is a fantasy draft.

I'm a longtime player of OOTP (since v.4) but haven't been in an online league before. Zap an e-mail if you're starting one.

Hello,

My name is Jon and i'm a 20 year old college student from PA. I have been playing the game for quite a few years and am looking to get back into the online league action with this release. I'm looking to join an online league using OOTP X, I don't have 9. I'd be interested in a present day league that is either brand new or fairly new or a historical league preferably beginning in the early 1990's. Contact me through AIM or my e-mail.

I'll throw my hat in the ring.

I'm a newbie to online OOTP, but have played OOTP 9 and have the preorder fo X running for a bit now too

I'm 32y/o, based in Sydney, Aus and experienced at other online management games (FM, Champ Man etc).

I'm looking for an online league with fictional players, don't mind if it's real teams or fictional teams, most of all though I'm looking for an active league though that's in it for the long haul.

contact me at michaelt@happybandits.com or on skype (mikezone13)

Hey guys,

Been playing since OOTP 4, downloading ootpX as we speak. Would like to be in a league with real players, real teams etc, might like a fantasy draft or something like that, I don't know I'll listen to most ideas.

Amen to that brother....I bet something with a 1960's league structure and 2009 rosters could work NIIIICE!! (and consolidate the talent)
