[The Game]

In this dynasty I am GM/MGR of the Chicago White Sox. My goal is too win as many rings with the Sox using real Sox players the year that they debuted with the Sox. The rest of the league is fictional players, real teams. I had a dynasty like this but I deleted the league.

Cf Dummy Hoy will start the season on the 15 Day IL. until he comes back Brent Lillibridge is on the roster.


There's a lot to like about this team. i have ton of power, good overall team speed. Solid rotation and above average pen. We do have many rookies which could hurt us and defensively we are average to below average based on my Scout.


All players are the year they debuted with the Sox 3 yr fielding and 3 yr stamina. the RR roster players might play but only because of injury.


We have no $$ to re-sign my players, at least until the Offseason. Hopefully if we win it all, i can re-sign a few people. i do get cash in return when i lose a FA. i can not sign any FA normally unless they are a former Sox player IRL. I can only trade for former Sox players.

There's alot to like about this offense.


My AGM is handling my staff. Eventually i hope to sign former Sox players as coaches.


We have a ton of FA and as i said, currently i can not re-sign any of them. No clue who will replace them next year. Most likely scrubs and rookies.

Herb Score will be the 1st SP to come up if any SP miss time. Willie Harris or Brent Lillibridge will be the 1st to come up in their is an injury to any batter. The rest wont play until September.

16-11 1 Gb in Aprirl. Not bad but we have many flaws. Our defense is weak at several positions. 1b, 3b, Cf, Lf backup middle If, backup Of. the pen is terrible early on. Seaver is bad.


Positives. Dick Allen, Dick Allen, Dick Allen. He is clearly the best player in the game. I'm gonna hate losing him after the season. Carlos quentin, Dummy Hoy, Baines to a degree, Boyer, Shoeless Joe are all doing great also. Blum is great off of the bench but i cant really use him at SS or 2b. durham is great vs RHP, terrible vs LHP.

As a kid growing up in the 1950's/60's, about 45 minutes outside of Philly, I was a huge (Richie)Dick Allen fan when he came up. To say it was tough for a black player to play ball in the MLB back then, especially Philly, would be a gross understatement.

Loved went he'd hit a bomb on the roof of Connie Mack. His power and the size of his bat was something to behold. I remember going to the Food Fair in Coatesville for a player signing. It was Clay Dalrymple, and Richie Allen. Well, I got Dalrymple's autograph, but Allen never showed. He was probably at the race track, lol.

i have a new appreciation of him after his passing that i did not have before. i was not born yet when he played for the Sox. In OOTP, he is beast.
