Split Season Schedules

Are these remarked and/or coded differently?

Does the schedule include all games or just the first half and then OOTP uses that first half schedule again for the second half?

As I understand it, you do not have to do anything special. If you elect to use the split-season format for a league, OOTP will automatically split the schedule on its own at half the total number of games set. E.g. if you use a 140-game schedule, it will split it at the 70-game mark.

Note that if you use the split-season, you CANNOT view the first half or second half standings on their own. All you can see is the overall standings. Tie-breaking is questionable for first- or second-half division ties. You also cannot have anything other than a simple first-half versus second-half division winner system (e.g. the format the California League used to use, or the one the Midwest League currently uses, are off the table.)

All the things this game can do and it handles split seasons in that fashion as far as standings pages go? How are you to keep up with the second half standings once you enter that portion of the season?...…..in a spreadsheet?

This has been the case—and I kid you not—since the split-season was first implemented way back in OOTP 2006.

Have any improvements been made this year in split season standings?
