Galactic Baseball League

Would anybody be interested in starting a Star Wars based OOTP league? To my knowledge, there is none right now. We would need some people that had a really good base in Star Wars knowledge. I could do a lot of the creative imaging for it.

I'd be interested. I don't know if my base of knowledge is huge but I've seen all the movies multiple times and have strong feelings on Jar Jar, so that's something.

I already have the base for the league and i have been slowly working on a league that is just Star Wars. So far the only team I have finished in Ewok Village Ewoks which was one of my EBL teams. I have facegens for over 100 SW characters, EU included.
My EBL vs MLB league takes place on Endor and has every planet from EP 1-6, along with some Star Trek planets.

I am so impressed with this. Would you mind letting some of us über-nerds join? I want to take over Anakin and move them to Jeddah. Yes. The Jeddah Lightsabers. Oh man I am way too into this.

I can zip my EBL vs MLB league for ya sometime next week. You can take over a team in the CBF. You would have to reboot the league though. It folded after the Yuuzhan Vong invaded.
I dont have planets from 7 & 8 in here since my world follows the EU. I do plan on adding them.


What team names would people want for an online league and what do you guys think would be the best way to edit players like Darth Vader?
My plan for my own league is to use stats from any player that appeared in my league like Luke, Han, Wicket. For player slike Vader i would give a base current like 125 and a max of 225. There will only be 3 max 250 potential players. Emperor, Luke & Yoda.

A few questions/comments here.
1. So, just to confirm, this is an actual online league with other people? Or is it just a solo?
2. If it's online I WANNA JOIN!!!!
3. If it's not online, are you suggesting opening it up to everyone and making it online, or just giving me a copy?
4. I think it would be best if all the teams are from planets- Jeddah, Hoth, etc. The team names can be whatever. I have some suggestions- Force, Lightsabers, Midichlorions, Stormtroopers, and Ewoks would be my top 5 names but people could do whatever.
5. I think the names of the players should not necessarily be named after people in the movies. We would get players with American names or whatever and re-name them spacey stuff. Except each team gets to name one player, their star, after someone important in the movies.
6. If there's enough interest (I count about 6 or 7 people in this thread, and I know some people in another league who might join), we could set up a Slack channel to discuss this more.

I'm in the slack channel now. I think it would be cool if some of the iconic characters were created as personnel while the rosters were completely fictional. Just a thought. I'm mostly indifferent there. I am very interested though!

Slack is a chat service. I have it for a few other leagues. You can talk in a group or send private messages. For right now, in planning, we'd mostly talk in groups. PMs are more for trading once the league gets set up.

I think it's probably best if we start from scratch with a new league. However, we can definitely use most of the ideas from your solo league.
