PLAGUE!! What should be the name of the new Atlanta franchise?

As mentioned in the Plague!! dynasty, the hapless Milwaukee Brewers have been sold to a group of investors in Atlanta as of the end of the 1939 season. I've decided to leave the new name of the franchise up to you, the readers.

Here are your choices and the reasons for their inclusion:
  • Brewers - The owners would simply decide to keep the name for continuity
  • Goobers - The state crop is the peanut, aka the "goober pea"
  • Crackers - Taking their name from the Negro League team, the Black Crackers
  • Roses - The state flower is the Cherokee Rose
  • Thrashers - The state bird is the Brown Thrasher
  • Oaks - The state tree is the Oak

Since I want to pick something that everyone likes, you may pick more than one. Of course, if you only like one, you may limit it to one.

I really like Goobers, but I could see them voting to remain the Brewers back in 1940.

Don't think you'd see a white team called the Crackers in 39.

How 'bout the Atlanta Peaches?

How about the Cherokees Pete. They could still have the rose for the logo

Thrashers gets my vote but if I were to list preferences it would be
1. Cherokees
2. Peaches
3. Thrashers

The Atlanta Goober Thrashers combines state symbols with a hint of violence and the possibility of a very interesting logo.

Question

Wouldn't 'Goober Thrashers' just be peanut butter manufacturers? It's a completely different image if you call them the Jiffies, Skippies or Peter Pans.
