Player Rating Inconsistency

I'm sorry if this has already been posted, I have looked through and couldn't see anything recently.

I'm having an issue with player consistency, it seems like a lot of my players just turn rubbish after 1 season in their prime years (even in a winning season).

I have to change my RP's every season, for example i could have 5 x 75-80 rated RP's and at the end of the season their all like 50-65 rated with like 5-6 ERA, awful WHIP & FIP.

Same with LF, RF, CF, 1B, 2B, 3B, C & SS also. Rafael Devers went from a 78 rating to 73 rating after 1 season ( a very good season also) & I see it in the CPU players too.

I see so many players with awesome ratings for those positions yet their overall rating is like 25, it makes no sense as the overall should be based on primary ratings for that role.

do you have it set to recalculate based on real life or using the ootp player development engine?
